Total Quality Management
At ADS, we believe a Total Quality Management (TQM) is a comprehensive and structured approach to organizational management that seeks to improve the quality of products and services through ongoing refinements in response to continuous feedback. At ADS, we define goals to achieve TQM adhering to established standards, such as the SEI’s Capability Maturity Models (CMM), International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 9000 series or the Six-Sigma.
We will define a plan that is comprehensively covering organizational wide efforts, in creating an environment for continuous improvements to deliver high-quality products and services to your customers. At every stage we will divide into four sequential categories: plan, do, check, and act (the PDCA cycle), helping us to measure the success at every stage.
For a reputed Financial Industry, under the umbrella of the ADS QA Program, we created QA Plans for each project with a baseline of QA activities for the project. We defined the policy for quality standards and activities, and updated these plans on an ongoing basis throughout a project’s life cycle. This continuous updating of individual QA activities helped in defining process improvement activities, and overall evolution of the program. We continuously measured and improved the quality of products, processes, and services being delivered. This incremental and big-picture approach reduced rework and cost associated with such reworks, by over 12% of the Program cost.
For a Federal Agency, working in a Continuous Integration environment we utilized Jenkins, Maven and Gradle, and built an automated build environment scheduling nightly builds, and automated execution of the tests using Selenium Testing Automation environment. The recorded test scripts execution were on multiple browsers for verifying the cross-browser features; developers were provided with a rapid feedback. Over 90% of the features were automation tested in and the rest were on User Interface that underwent changes periodically and was tested manually. We designed, developed and supported this enterprise level application ensuring availability, performance, and security running on JBoss, providing transactions access to over 50 users concurrently.
